I suppose I ought to write something now that I've invited you all to view it. I was looking for an option for sharing our updates so that they wouldn't overload e-mail inboxes and hope that this "private" blog is the solution. I wasn't aware that you would all be getting an official invitation when I imported the list of contacts that would be allowed to view the post(s), so for now just a few brief comments...
We are still waiting for #2's arrival. I go to bed thinking "Tonight could be the night!" and wake up in the morning, intentionally reach for my belly, and finding the bulge still present am overwhelmed with a little disappointment. But it quickly dissipates as I think "Today could be the day!". At my doctor appointment last Thursday Dr. Bazzoli said he didn't think I would make it to my due date (Sept. 29th). Well, it's getting pretty darn close. Bags are packed, baby clothes are clean and situated for use, carseat is installed, and Pete's sub plans are finished. Luke is completely unaware of any sense of anticipation and goes about his daily routine of jumping, dumping, running, and entertaining.
If anyone has any tried and true methods of coaxing out a baby that is bound to be genetically endowed with some extent of stubbornness please do SHARE. Mostly, though, prayers of patience and safe and speedy delivery would suffice.
Peace be with you my friends. "Tonight could be the night!"
You might try beer. Ryan Work's mom was past due with Ryan and had a beer and he was born soon after (that night or the next day).
ReplyDeleteOr, given the genetic predisposition towards stubbornness, you could just tell #2 that tonight WON'T be the night and he or she will just have to prove you wrong.
I like the suggestion that tonight "won't be the night" I have three stubborn kids. I can relate!!!
